The next metro district board meeting is on Tuesday, November 18 at 4 p.m. at 955 Moss Street! This includes a public hearing, or time for public comment, for you to provide feedback on next year’s budget.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Tuesday is your last chance to have input on the budget and Pleasant View’s spending priorities for 2026. If you would like the opportunity to attend the meeting virtually, please let me know! I think that might help more people attend but I’m curious if that’s actually something people are interested in.
GLO Park Update
There’s always an update! Pleasant View Metro District Board President Adrian Waller presented to the state legislature, as did Lu Cordova from the Governor’s Office, at the end of October.
You can re-watch the entire meeting here on the Colorado General Assembly website. Lu and Adrian presented to the Capital Development Committee, which needs to approve any changes to the GLO Park plan.
I was excited to see that none of the state legislators were particularly enthusiastic about changing direction, especially with community opposition. I’ve asked if that’s a correct interpretation but haven’t heard back. I’m taking it as a good sign for now!
Welchester Elementary Chili Cook-off
Welchester Elementary, one of our neighborhood schools, is hosting its annual chili cook-off and silent auction Thursday November 20 at 5 p.m.!!
I’m really excited to have more Pleasant View businesses (old and new!) be represented in the silent auction. We’ve received donations from:

My neighbor Roxie crocheted absolutely gorgeous newborn blankets
And other local Golden, Lakewood, and Colorado businesses!
It’s not to late to join in, so if you have anything you’d like to donate (time, items, or from your local business) please reach out. Otherwise, I’ll see you at Welchester! This school is a really special community and I’d love to see more Pleasant View people be a part of it.

Pleasant View’s annual Santa on the Truck day is coming up December 7. The fire department will post Santa’s route in the next few weeks.
