I'm Running for Pleasant View Board!
The election is May 6 at 955 Moss Street
I’m running for the Pleasant View Board of Directors for this May’s election to represent and invest in the community I love. I want the same transparency and community engagement I’ve started with this newsletter to happen at a larger scale to make sure our district works to serve you.
First - this newsletter isn't going to turn into constant bugging you for donations or other campaign asks. I will keep doing the same updates, with additional recaps of what I learn from meeting more of you in person.
Why the District Board Matters
The district manages our parks and fire departments for the more than 3,800 people in Pleasant View with a budget of more than $3 million.
There hasn’t been an election for board members since at least 2008 (the oldest election results publicly available on Jeffco’s website). There are also no term limits for board members. Most years, there aren’t more people interested than there are spots available on the board, so there isn’t an election. But this year, you get a say in who is representing you.
Why I’m running for Pleasant View Board
I care about Pleasant View and want to be part of the solution to make it even better. My priorities are improving transparency and community engagement in the district’s work. You can learn more on my campaign website, www.lauraforpleasantview.com.

How to vote for the Pleasant View Board
The election is in-person on May 6, 2025 at the district office (the fire station building), located at 955 Moss Street.
You can also request an absentee ballot by April 29 to vote by mail. To fill out the form electronically, I have instructions here on my website: https://www.lauraforpleasantview.com/voting-by-mail
